Dear all,
You are cordially invited to attend the second webinar of DHSS Online Public Lecture Series on Covid-19 crisis and its Impact across the globe on 16 April 2020.
The detailed information is as follows:
Topic: Healthcare System and the Coronavirus Pandemic
Speakers: Prof Johnston Wong and Dr Adam Chan
Abstract:
The COVID-19 is undoubtedly one of the greatest challenges to health and mental health services around the globe. Its impact on the processes and structures of healthcare delivery is unsurpassed. Many reports point to the system failures of various countries. However comparisons will be meaningful only if insights on how to improve our own system are drawn. We must read beyond indicators and reflect upon the morals behind the system.
Provided that ongoing spread and incomplete information about the COVID-19, it will cause a lot of worry and anxiety for people in all over the world, particularly around how to stay well and healthy. Given recent recommendations from various public health experts concerning ‘social distancing’, staying in-doors and working from home, it’s likely that loneliness and isolation become more common. Therefore, it is important to pay attention to how they might affect our mental health.
