On 6 January 2026, a delegation from Hong Kong's institutions, organised by the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, visited Beijing Normal–Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU) as part of a Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area study tour. The visit brought together young students from Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland for in-depth exchanges on learning, growth and future development.

Led by the Standing Committee Member of the Chamber Mr Ivan Wong Siu-kei, the delegation comprised 39 students from universities including the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University, Lingnan University, the Education University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Shue Yan University, Hong Kong Metropolitan University, and Fanshawe College of Canada.

During the visit, the delegation was introduced to BNBU’s educational philosophy and development highlights, followed by a campus tour that offered a first-hand experience of its liberal arts environment. In small-group activities, more than 20 BNBU students joined and engaged in lively discussions on academic life and the development of the Greater Bay Area.
