Jonathon Au Won the Second Prize in a Hong Kong Charity Singing Contest

Jonathon Au, a year-two CTV student, won the second prize in a Hong Kong Charity Singing Contest with the theme song of the musical "Legend" which was authentically created by himself at UIC. The contest was held by Sun Recreation Club and Sun Care Foundation on August 18, 2011.

The first part of the musical "Legend" had been shown on UIC campus last semester during the Whole Person Education Final Show. According to Jonathon, the complete musical will be shown in the coming December, after the WPE Final Show of this semester.

Jonathon said the initiative of this contest is to encourage youths to pursue their dreams and to exert their potentials, and that's what he learned at UIC as well. He expressed gratitude to the college for offering him a stage to perform. "Although we encountered many difficulties, for instance, I haven't got much experience in dancing before, but in the musical, there are a lot of dancing scenes. Thankfully, at UIC, dancing teacher Michelle helped us a lot. We look forward to the final performance." said Jonathon confidently.
