A Warm Party for Mid-Autumn

On the evening of September 13, the 2011 Mid-Autumn & Welcome party was held at both UIC Student Hotel Culture Village and UIC Innovative Education Hall. The party gave new UICers who living at Innovative Dorm festival greetings also spread deep Mid-Autumn atmosphere from SHCV to Innovative Dormitory.

The Innovative Dorm was surrounded with very warm atmosphere, all the year one students, teachers and honored guests of UIC found plenty of pleasure in wonderful performance on the party. The exciting opening dance of the cheer team, the soft and beautiful ancient Chinese song about Mid- Autumn Festival, and the canon perfectly combine with classical music and modern dances were highly spoken of all audience. Prof. Zhang Cong, Vice President of UIC and Prof. Stephen Chung, Dean of the Division of Science and Technology were also presented.

In SHCV the party was also went vigorously. Teachers and freshmen were deeply attracted to various stalls hosted by senior students, where you can find special gifts including writing materials for Mid-Autumn Day wishes and delicious moon cakes. The warm red light of beautiful festival lanterns covered the culture village with enchanted atmosphere.

The fantastic party concerning from the performance selection, rehearsal and the stage plan was wholly prepared and arranged by UIC students, and they spent over one week working day and night to offer so many happiness for all audience.

The welcoming party for new student helped them quickly find themselves a sense of belongings. A year one student from Applied Economic Program said that the fantastic performance made him feels that students in UIC were given large spaces for their potential. Two students from Food Science Program claimed that although they were far away from home, the rich college life gave them excitement and hope.
