The senior class of the International Journalism Programme (IJ) in DHSS
recently released its autobiographical mini film
Behind the Screen, the film title reveals the perception between imagination and reality. The DVD is a production by senior students that aims to introduce and record treasurable moments at UIC.
DVD cover
Behind the Screen consists of three parts, namely "In Journalism", "In Jail" and "In Journey". The first part "In Journalism" shows how others usually think of media professionals and what the real situation is. It is a good chance for others to know what journalism life might be.
Second part, "In Jail" covers the toughest and most unbearable moments shared by IJ students. Sometimes they are trapped by pressure and deadlines like being in jail.
The main message the film is bringing out in the third part, "In Journey", is that no matter how tough life is, these bad experiences will become the force that drives IJ students forward because they will never forget the days they fought side by side.
UIC student band Lava Ariesa
Behind the Screen also has original music produced by Lava Ariesa, a UIC student band. It demonstrates IJ student's persistance and friendship. There is also a display of photos to show IJ student's changes.
The senior class of IJ sincerely hopes Behind the Screen will become one of the best memories in their life and wish each UIC student can look back to their life in UIC many years later with smile and tears of happiness.
