Sino-Spanish association holds talk on energy and sustainability

A presentation on ‘Energy and sustainability – Opportunities in China’ delivered by Mr Cosme de Arana and Mr Pablo Caballero was held on April 20.

Speakers discussed the structure of renewable energy use in Spain, shortage of resources worldwide and possible solutions.

A brief report on food, architecture and various aspects of Spanish lifestyle was given by Spanish Club students.

Mr. Arana highlighted the environmental impacts caused by human activities and he believed that government should play the leading role to enforce sustainability.

When being asked about their impression of UIC and its students, Mr. Arana and Mr. Caballero said: “Surely, they are quite different than the students in Spain. The environment is surrounded by trees and mountain here, and it is really cool.”
