Ten Banks Made Recruitment Presentations at UIC

Ten banks including the Zhuhai branches of the People's Bank of China, Bank of China, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of Communication, Commercial Bank of Zhuhai, Guangdong Rural Credit Cooperatives jointly visited UIC and made recruitment presentations on Oct 28.

Prof. Kwow delivered a welcoming speech

Dr. Zhen Yong, coordinator of the Applied Economics program hosted the presentation. Prof. Kwok was also in attendance and delivered a welcoming speech. He said UIC would have 900 graduates next year, some of which would choose the finance industry. The four years' internationalized education could equip UIC students with solid professional knowledge and broad vision, and that would be an advantage for the students in their career development.

Seven of the above-mentioned banks introduced their respective organizations and talked about issues such as what kinds of professionals they were looking for, the procedures of recruitment, details that needed to be paid attention to during job interviews, etc.

Mr. Zhang Cong from the Human Resource Department of the Guangdong Development Bank (GDB) revealed that UIC students gave him a good impression. They were discussing matters on UIC students' internship and placement opportunities in GDB with our College administrators.

Human Recourses Director of the Zhuhai Branch of the People's Bank of China Mr. Zeng Guihao said this presentation was an implementation of the Memorandum of Cooperation in Sharing Training Resources. The Memorandum was part of the programme which financial organizations in Zhuhai cooperate with Zhuhai higher educational intuitions in helping Zhuhai University graduates' with their placements.

A year-four student majoring in Statistics found this recruitment presentation beneficial for students to learn more about the current employment situation.
