Deloitte Southern China Deputy Regional Managing Partner Mr. Clement Hung, and, Deloitte Office Managing Partner in Shenzhen Mr. Eric Tang gave a career talk to UIC students On Oct 23rd. UIC Vice-President Prof. Zee delivered a welcoming address and presented them souvenirs. Dean of DBM Prof. Stella Cho and Associate Dean of DBM Prof. Peter Lam were also in attendance.
Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu (also branded as Deloitte) is one of the largest professional services organizations in the world and one of the Big Four auditors, along with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young, and KPMG.

Mr Hung told the attendance how he was promoted from the entry level to the current position in a humorous manner while Mr Tang talked about auditing, tax administration, enterprise risk management, financial counseling and other services offered by Deloitte. A few younger members from Deloitte also shared their work experience.
In the subsequent interaction, Mr Hung and Mr Tang gave detailed responses to students' questions. Mr Tang said, UIC students with good English communication skills would have advantages in employment, and they were welcome to join Deloitte. He also suggested that students majoring in Accounting should value CICP as well as ICPA, for there was a board space for development in the Chinese market.

A UIC student was asking questions
Deloitte would offer 1000 job positions this year. All graduating students must go through a two-round selection which challenges the applicants' qualification and team work. The shortlisted applicants will then be interviewed for the final offers. Deloitte would also offer UIC students with internship opportunities.
