Dongguan Delegation Visited UIC

On November 24th, the Dongguan government delegation and Vice Director of Dongguan Polytechnic College Mr. Dai Bingyuan paid an exchange visit to UIC with the hope of learning experience of developing high-quality higher education.

Dongguan government is planning to introduce the Hong Kong Polytechnic University for a joint university with Dongguan Polytechnic College. Since UIC took the lead in higher education cooperation between Hong Kong and mainland China, Dongguan government aimed the visit at learning experience. Associate Director of Dongguan Government Office Mr. Deng Tao said, UIC started with low investment and kept running well, furthermore, it had bright prospect, which had set a good example in innovation of higher education. UIC Executive Vice-President Professor Kwok Siu Tong said he was looking forward to the successful establishment of Dongguan Joint Polytechnic University.

During the symposium, UIC Academic Registrar Zhang Genfa, UIC Assistant to President Ms. Lilian Li, Associate Director of Media and Communication Office Zhangwei, Director of UIC Human Resources Office Liuxin and other administrators introduced UIC respectively on program development, enrolment plan, management of human resources, financial management and so on. Commissaries from Dongguan showed great interest in educational cost, staff management, construction of infrastructure and other aspects.
