Yuan Zhe's mother and other relatives got the news and have come to the hospital. Now Yuan Zhe's classmates and other volunteers from UIC are taking shifts in taking care of him at the hospital, as he was hurt quite badly. According to the doctors, Yuan Zhe has internal bleeding in the skull and a lot of fractures. Though his vital signs are stable, he is still the state of great anxiety, which needs timely consoling.

UIC Executive Vice President Prof. Kwok Siu Tong visited Yuan Zhe on the evening of Apr. 1 and wrote an email to all staff and students of UIC in appeal to show care to Yuan Zhe in their own actions, and help him and his relatives through this vital moment of life.

Chief of Student Affaris Office, Prof. Johnston Wong said those who volunteer to look after Yuan Zhe could contact Ms. Wang Yue at office F211, or at the phone number 3620230. Cards of wishes could also be sent to E211 and will be sent to Yuan Zhe and his mother by our staff.
