Prof. Zee gave a welcome speech

At the opening ceremony, UIC Vice President and Dean of Science & Technology Division Prof ZEE Sze Yong stated that, a undergraduate degree was not a guarantee of a favorable job offer. In modern society, strong working capability was not the only contributory factor to competitive advantages in the increasingly intense labor market, but knowledge accumulation in greater scope and higher depth nourished more employment opportunities. One who possessed a postgraduate degree was possible to stand out to achieve desired success.

Prof. Tang Tao talked about the significance of this educational fair

Associate Vice President and Dean of Graduate School of Hong Kong Baptist University Prof Tang Tao also delivered a speech in which he laid emphasis on strategic significance of conducting such an educational fair. He pointed out that, the activity was extended to students from other universities in Zhuhai apart from UIC, which demonstrated the strong desire of incorporating abundant educational resources of Zhuhai with that of Hong Kong to create a win-win situation. He was expectant that more high-quality courses from Hong Kong would be available to students in Zhuhai universities.

Even though more stringent criteria of assessment is yet to be carried out, UIC students are still considered as powerful competitors compared to students from universities in Mainland China because a majority of them have adapted to high exposure to English teaching, besides, the innovative educational approach of UIC has a lot in common with that of Hong Kong Baptist University.
