Professor Ng Ching-Fai, UIC President and three Vice Presidents, Professor Kwok Siu Tong, Professor Zee Sze Yong, and Professor Zhang Cong all attended the conference. In the welcome speech, Professor Ng said that UIC was a student oriented college which integrated the Whole Person Education and Four-Point Education into the instruction. UIC consistently promoted the innovation ability of students and made many remarkable achievements.  However, the reform could not only depend on universities.  Without the contribution and cooperation of middle schools, it would only be an empty talk.  Professor Ng expressed the goodwill for setting up long-term cooperation mechanism with all the schools.

Dr. Chen Waikai, Principal of The Subordinate Primary and Secondary School of HKBU made a speech titled" The influence of Hong Kong High School Reform on School Operation". He said that it was a great responsibility for secondary education to lay a strong foundation for higher education and professional education in the context of globalization.

Ms. Gu Dan, the Principal of Guizhou No.1 Middle School, said that the forum built up a bridge between universities and high schools. Leaders of schools gained chances to communicate with each other. "UIC is a nice college despite its limited physical size.  The gorgeous and quiet environment here creates a favourable atmosphere for study.  The controlled number of students guarantees the quality of education and corresponds with the Whole Person Education."

Afterwards the attendance visited Hong Kong Baptist University and the affiliated schools.
