UIC signs exchange agreement with Katholische Universität Eichstätt-Ingolstadt in Germany

Published on 28 April 2022

Continuing its recent spate of international goodwill, UIC has signed an exchange agreement with the Katholische Universität Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (KU) in Germany. Together, the two universities have pledged to promote internationalisation in education and research.

The KU has two campuses. Seven faculties are located in Eichstätt, whereas the business and economics faculty is located in Ingolstadt (Ingolstadt School of Management). At both locations, lecture halls, the canteen, computer centre and libraries are just a short walking distance from each other.

Eichstätt lies on both sides of the river Altmühl in the district of Eichstätt of the Oberbayern region of Bavaria, in the heart of Altmühl Valley Nature Park. Ingolstadt is the site of the headquarters of the German automobile manufacturer Audi, the defence division of aircraft manufacturer Airbus (formerly Cassidian Air Systems). Ingolstadt Central Station has been connected to Nuremberg by a high-speed rail link since May 2006.

KU is a research-oriented private school in Bavaria, able to offer both small class sizes and a large selection of majors. Furthermore, KU’s devotion to encouraging the development of social responsibility and personal growth dovetails with UIC’s own devotion to whole person education.

It is hoped that in the future UIC would welcome students and faculty members from KU to our beautiful campus and strengthen the everlasting friendship between the Chinese and German people.
