Dear All,
You are cordially invited to a concert to be held on 8th May, 2019 at 7:00 pm at CC105. The concert, titled “Music for a Summer Evening,” will begin with Rachmaninoff's Vocalise and a beautiful vocal work Vier Duette by Schumann. Afterwards, three Romantic virtuosic piano solo and one flute and piano masterpieces will be performed, including Mendelssohn's Fantasie in F sharp minor, Liszt’s Harmonies du soir, Chopin's Nocturne followed by Chamindae's Flute Concertino. To end this summer night, we will listen to Purcell's Chacony and Elgar's Serenade for strings. The Chacony is dedicated to the memory of a fellow student.
This concert will not only reflect the splendor of western classical music but also blend Eastern and Western musical features. We hope you will enjoy the beauty of the Western classical tradition to celebrate the end of this academic year. The Concert is organized by the music minor programme, Division of Culture and Creativity, under the supervision of the Dean of Division of Culture and Creativity, Stephen Lam, Mars Lei and Jacqueline Leung. Seats are available on a first come first serve basis, so please arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Transportation is also arranged back to Horizon Cove, departing from UIC Parking Lot at 8:30pm.
