On Dec 11, Mr. Jens Hildebrandt, General Manager of the German Industry & Commerce Greater China Guangzhou, a branch of German Industry & Commerce Co. Ltd. and Mr. Max J. Zenglein, Regional Manager of the German Chamber of Commerce in South China visited UIC had a nice communication with UIC student representatives. The German guests asked about their studying experience in UIC, and talked about internship and placement opportunities in German companies in South China.
When it comes to the necessary skills in future business career, they gave several pieces of advice. They highlighted English communication skills as the basic requirement, and professional skills as the insurance of professional competency. Further, students should be practical both in real life work and projects. Moreover, German companies require employees take responsibilities. They also suggested that students should be true and open-minded instead of being shy.
After the conversation, Mr. Zenglein said he was impressed with UIC and the students' English communication skills. He welcomed UIC students to apply for internships and jobs in German companies in South China.
