The End-of-Course Ceremony of the Summer Training Programme for Zhuhai Middle School English Teachers was held on August 29 at B101.

The teachers of the course showed their achievements at the ceremony with various programmes such as experience sharing, musical play, poetry, singing and course presentation. Heather Hu, a junior English teacher from Zhuhai NO.5 Middle School, said that the training programme not only taught them various teaching methods, but also gave them precious life experience. She appreciated the Whole-Person-Education provided by UIC, which taught them how to cooperate and solve problems.

Wang Weiguo, Director of Zhuhai Education Bureau Research Centre, expressed his appreciation on the rigorous attitude of UIC, "UIC teachers specially chose 30 English books from Hong Kong. This kind of spirit and attitude deserves our respect".

"Language education is not just classroom learning", Prof. Kwok Siu-tong, UIC Executive Vice President, said in the closing speech, "Don't look down on your students. They have potential that you need to finds ways to teach them, to show them the way to release their potential." Prof. Kwok Siu-tong also expressed gratitude to the Zhuhai Municipal Education Bureau for their support to this training programme, and hoped that more programmes of this kind would be held in future.
