Exactly 388 UIC students, a record number since 2007, entered the Summer Programme HKBU (Hong Kong Baptist University) from 4 July to 1 August. This programme aims to provide an opportunity for students to experience Hong Kong’s academic environment, social life, history and culture. |

At the opening ceremony on 4 July, HKBU Vice-President (Academic) Prof Franklin Luk noted that UIC’s Whole Person Education had tremendously developed and perhaps had surpassed HKBU’s. |

Students visited the Kowloon Bay Material Transfer Centre on 5 July. In their spare time, students had a variety of practical activities, such as visiting the High Court, the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Television Broadcasts Limited, and the newspaper Ming Pao. |
