Students celebrated the Thai Culture Week from 25 to 28 April, organised by the Staff and Student Activities Centre as well as the Food Culture Association.
The activities included a picture exhibition, experience sharing, Thai cuisine, outdoor movies screening and games, and intrigued many people present.

At the sharing session, four students spoke of their experience in Thailand where they did voluntary services.
Lin Yongyi, a junior from the Social Work and Social Administration Programme introduced the infrastructure in Thailand. Accounting sophomore Liu Yuhong talked about what she learned about the religious culture and philosophy from the Sanctuary of Truth in Pattaya, while her fellow Xie Yutian talked about different kinds of Thai food.
Finance sophomore Chen Xueying shared a few interesting anecdotes about Thai people. She talked about how people stand up and sing the Thai national anthem before a movie screening. She also noticed that Thais don't discriminate ladyboys because of their Buddhist belief.
