UIC students present research results at APacCHRIE

The 19th Asia Pacific Council on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education (APacCHRIE) was held online between 2 and 4 June. Senior students from UIC Culture, Creativity and Management (CCM) Programme, Zheng Jie, Xu Xingjian, Zhong Huining, and Wang Zihan, attended the conference and presented their academic papers.

The two papers presented at the APacCHRIE were completed under the guidance of CCM Assistant Professor Dr Wang Xi. Zheng Jie and Xu Xingjian presented their paper Reformation of the Cultural Tourism after COVID-19. They applied qualitative research methods in the cultural tourism context. Through interviewing stakeholders and doing analysis, they found out challenges faced by cultural tourism and provided corresponding suggestions.

Zhong Huining and Wang Zihan are authors of the paper Exploring Customer Satisfaction of Online Theater: Adaptation of ACSI Model. They explored the determinants affecting customer satisfaction of online theatre performances. They revealed the relationships among overall service quality, perceived value and customer satisfaction.

APacCHRIE, a Federation of the International CHRIE, is the leading hospitality and tourism education association in Asia. It has a far-reaching influence on the hospitality and tourism industry. Every year, it attracts many experts, scholars, industry sectors, and government departments worldwide for extensive and in-depth academic discussions on tourism research.
