During the past 15 years, UIC has blazed a new trail for the diversity of China's higher education. It has moved from the old campus at 28 Jinfeng Road to its current campus at 2000 Jintong Road. In 2020, the Zhuhai government agreed to provide land for UIC to build its second phase campus.

The UIC Union organised a special outdoor hiking activity to celebrate UIC’s 15th anniversary on 23 December. About 160 faculty members were divided into two teams to return to the old campus and climb Chihua Mountain.

President of UIC, Prof Tang Tao said that this is a journey full of memories

Two routes were chosen for this nostalgic trekking activity, starting at UIC’s Arts Hill. The first route is about 8.2 kilometres, passing through the old UIC campus, Lize Building of Beijing Normal University’s Zhuhai campus, and then returning to UIC's current campus. The second route is shorter at about 3 kilometres and involves climbing to Chihua Mountain, overlooking the panoramic view of Jintong Road campus.
In October 2005, the first batch of UIC students started the liberal arts education journey here. The 200-mu campus carries many unforgettable memories of UICer.

28 Jinfeng Road

Cultural village
UIC likes to remind itself where it has come from during its 15th-anniversary celebration. This walk shows how the university started small and grew into what it is today with the addition of a new campus, a new sports park, and land for the second phase campus. Towards a new level of development, UIC never forgets its original intention and forges ahead.

2000 Jintong Road
The year 2020 is about to bidden farewell, and UIC is determined to move forward in the coming years.
