An art exhibition for students' final projects was held online by the Experimental Art Courses of Whole Person Education Office (WPE) in UIC. Around 500 students from 17 different courses and 24 classes participated in this exhibition, with fantastic and creative artworks from various art courses such as Ceramic Art, Water-color Painting, Glass Craft Design, Ink Painting, Wall Painting Creation, Traditional Paper Art etc.
Modern Ink and Wash Painting
In Chinese Ink Painting, different painting materials possess various features. Therefore, paint on the rice paper by using ink, water, and Chinese brush pen can produce distinctive effects. In Modern Ink Painting classes, students can learn to create their own ink paintings and experience the cultural atmosphere.


Meticulous Flowers and Birds Painting
In this course, students can acknowledge the current development of this art form, acquire necessary painting skills, and improve their understandings of the Chinese ancient aesthetic philosophies by learning this traditional art skill.


Western Painting Theory and Practice
Students will practice their painting skills based on Western painting theories, and reflect on these theories through practise to gain a better understanding of this painting style while also acquiring practical skills.


Creative Illustration
This painting course allows you to paint and create in any way you want, such as pencil, crayon, computer, watercolour, collage and so on.


Glass Craft Design
This course not only enables students to acquire various crafts such as enamel and mosaics craftsmanship but also strengthen their cognitive and aesthetic concepts toward colour. The course also helps students to create works that combine traditional and modern craftsmanship to reveal the charms of contemporary glass craft design.




Ceramic Art
Students will learn to make ceramics to inherit this traditional Chinese craftsmanship.


Wall Painting Creation
Students will learn to understand the history of wall painting as well as learn how to make wall paintings, and develop a creative mindset for wall painting creations and design. The students will then be able to produce works that are both visually stunning and meaningful.


Traditional Wood Printmaking
The popularization of traditional wood printmaking are closely related to the development of woodblock printing techniques. Wood printmaking and hand-painting skills play an essential role in creating Chinese folk new year pictures.




Watercolour Sketching and Creation
Students will immerse themselves to into their painting and quietly enjoy the time-flow.


Colour Theory and Materials
The students will learn to do 'recreation' by using different colour schemes, compositions, painting skills and aesthetic experiences. The students' daily lives can be transformed into vivid paintings by detailing every aspect.


Yayue Orchestra
Yayue refers to the ancient Chinese cour,t which originated from the Western Zhou Dynasty. Yayue was varied ritual music, for instance, sacrificed heaven and earth, paid homage to the sovereign, and feasted in the palace.


Performance Posters
Contemporary Oil Painting
Students can acquire the practical and analytical skills of oil painting, also they can try to explore more possibilities for artistic creations.


Traditional Chinese Craft
Traditional Chinese craft contains rich and comprehensive knowledge and skills. Students will learn to combine classic art with daily life and try to create derivatives using traditional craftsmanship.


Traditional Paper Art
Paper art requires comprehensive abilities in both physics and intelligence. Students must keep brainstorming, trying to acquire practical skills through endless practices and experiments, making a paper with high quality, and combining with useful ideas to create real artistic paperwork.


Film Arts
In this course, the teacher will introduce the unique and exciting ways to present narrative films and give an analysis of the visual and sound aesthetics as well as other relative artistic forms. The implemented techniques can improve students' abilities to choose, appreciate and critique the films. Students' final project is to create film posters based on their own understandings toward the films.


Guqin
Students acquire personal experiences for Eastern music aesthetics by learning Guqin playing skills and mindset, as well as learn to face life peacefully and start a new cultural journey.

Calligraphy
The Calligraphy course content is composed of skills and mindset. Skills will be acquired from students' reviewing of the ancient scripts. The students' mindset will be cultivated through ancient writings, which can broaden students' values toward life and the world, and upgrade their personalities.
