According to a survey on graduate destinations conducted before March 2022, a total of 1523 UIC graduates of 2021 received Bachelor's Degrees, among which 74.5% have continued to pursue postgraduate studies.
A total of 72% of the Class of 2021 opted to study abroad. Among them, 81% were accepted by the world's top 100 universities in the latest QS Rankings. This population is increased by 23.4% compared with that of 2020.
Graduates who chose direct employment mainly work in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Beijing and Shanghai.

The esteemed universities the graduates have chosen include Imperial College London and University College London, UK; Nanyang Technological University, Singapore; University of Pennsylvania and Yale University, US; Australian National University; and the University of Hong Kong.
The report shows that the preferred countries and regions for further study of the Class of 2021 were the UK (44.25%), Hong Kong SAR of China (27.55%), Australia (13.78%), and the US (6.57%).
Among graduates who pursue postgraduate studies, 38 were admitted to universities in the Chinese mainland, including UIC, Communication University of China, Hunan University, and Zhejiang Sci-Tech University.
In total, 14.38% of these graduates secured jobs in companies. Others chose a different career path, such as starting a business or freelancing.
The top five cities for employment in the Chinese mainland for UIC graduates are Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Beijing and Shanghai.
The most popular industries that UIC graduates were involved in include business services (17.35%), software and computer science and technology (12.79%), education (7.76%), the financial industry (6.85%), as well as science and technology promotion and application service industry (4.11%).
